Spunbond, Nonwoven Polypropylene. (NWPP) It is a breathable, washable and reusable material. This is the same material used in N95 masks, although the thickness and weave are different than the medical grade. Medical grade NWPP is used in commercial masks and respirators and for ethical reasons, these materials are currently reserved for manufacturers that best meet medical, legal and regulatory standards. The NWPP material Hides in Hand sourced is an excellent filter for cotton face masks. This material has the advantage of being easily laundered allowing you to use them again and again.

NWPP is a breathable fabric. It is clearly identifiable by its characteristic diamond-shaped dimpled pattern.

Hides in Hand masks and filters are not a replacement for medical grade PPE and in circumstances where medical grade PPE is recommended, you should consult a healthcare professional. Our face masks and filters do not guarantee protection against transmission of any disease.
