Merrie Mouse with Santa Hat Plush by Douglas

DOUGLAS has been a family-owned and operated business since 1956 (that’s 65 years!) and has become one of the oldest and most respected plush companies in the United States. DOUGLAS designs are created in New Hampshire and manufactured in Asia to our exacting specifications and standards. They are in full compliance with existing Toy Safety Standards. We have also exported our core values by choosing manufacturing partners who adhere to a strict code of ethics and provide a safe and healthy working environment. As a result, DOUGLAS has long-standing relationships with factories which are vital to maintaining consistently high quality and unique appeal.

Our continued business success comes from unique designs, high quality materials, and craftsmanship. Our classic animals have gestures and expressions that clearly distinguish them as “Douglas.” Their faces evoke a sense of connection and endearment. We are known for offering the unusual breeds and hard-to-find species.

DOUGLAS BABY was also born because of the vision and strength of our design team. This collection brings us “full circle” to our beginnings in 1956 as an Infant Toy Producer. We now have a collection of the softest, most endearing designs in both cuddle toys and activity toys for Baby. Our designers mix and match colours, fabrics, and embellishments to provide babies with interactive and comforting products.

From “classic” to “trendy” to “baby,” DOUGLAS spins a web of wonderful products for the discerning market of today. Everybody here has a passion for what we do and takes our mission seriously to promote imaginative play and emotional connection for children of all ages.
